The drive down the coast to Florence, Oregon on Wednesday was fabulous. The weather was cold but sunny. Yesterday's wind was gone. I stopped at every pullout, watched the waves crashing on the rocks, and was often driving high above the ocean which provided fantastic panoramas. The highlight of the morning was seeing whales for my first time, migrating down the coast. We could watch their waterspouts and often saw the top part of their bodies. Truly wonderful.
Enjoy the scenery!

ReplyDeleteJust as amazing a views as I remember, Jean. Thank you for taking me there again. At some point I want to go back and drive 101 again. Would LOVE to see the waterspouts. I remember folks pointing those out to me when I was there the summer of my summer mission trip.
